2 cops killed, 12 injured in a militant attack in Srinagar: J&K police

2 Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police personnel were killed and 12 injured on Monday when militants opened fire on their bus on the outskirts of Srinagar city, officials said.

The attack took place in Zewan in Pantha Chowk area of the city

They said at least 14 police personnel sustained injuries in the attack and we taken to various hospitals for treatment, 2 of them succumebed. 

The area has been cordoned off and a search operation launched to track down the assailants, the J&K police officials said.
