Two of the three contentious agricultural bills, which have been criticised for being pro-corporate, were passed in the Rajya Sabha by voice vote amid ruckus and high drama on Sunday.
Proceedings in the Upper House were adjourned briefly after opposition parties surrounded the well of the House and protested against the government’s alleged hurry to push the bills, that have met vehement opposition from farmers and agriculture unions across the country.
