Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the new 2021 Tigor EV for private buyers. The new model comes with Ziptron EV powertrain technology and is the second model after the Nexon EV to get the same. Visually, the Tata Tigor EV looks more premium and features a glossy black grille, revised headlights, new bumper with wider intakes, projector headlights and new horizontal fog lamps with integrated LED DRLs. The car also gets new alloy wheels and revised taillights. The cabin borrows features from the petrol-powered Tigor including the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Harman tuned audio system, multi-functional steering wheel and premium fabric upholstery. The Tigor EV will also get the iRA connected car tech along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Tigor EV now comes equipped with a PMS electric motor that develops about 74 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a 26 kWh battery pack. Tata Motors will reveal the range and other details at the launch on August 31.
