3 hikers lost their lives after heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur, according to district administration officials. The deceased were part of a 13-person trekking group that was hiking from Shimla to Kinnaur.

Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel managed to rescue 10 men who were stuck at Buran Pass in Kinnaur - 4,696 metres above sea level. Deputy Commissioner of Kinnaur, Apoorv Devgn said that the bodies of the three deceased hikers were buried under four feet of snow.

Nine of the 10 hikers were from Mumbai and one was from New Delhi.
