420 doctors died in 2nd wave of Covid-19, says IMA

420 doctors have lost their lives in the ravaging 2nd wave of Covid-19, the Indian Medical Association said on Saturday. At least 100 doctors in Delhi, 96 in Bihar, 41 in Uttar Pradesh have succumbed to the viral infection. Earlier this week, the IMA informed that 270 doctors had died due to Covid-19, including former IMA president Dr. KK Aggrawal. As per IMA's data, 748 doctors died due to the virus in its first wave. While IMA only keeps a record of its 3.5 lakh members, India has over 12 lakh doctors.
