India's coronavirus tally on Monday crossed 48 lakhs and deaths inched up closer to 80,000 with a spike of over 92,000 cases. According to the data released by the health ministry on Monday morning, the country saw a spike of 92,071 new cases and over 1,100 deaths in the last 24 hours. Fatalities count due to Covid is now inching towards the 80,000-mark. India now has close to 10 lakh active infection cases while nearly 38 lakh have so far recovered from the contagion at the recovery rate of over 77%.
