Abhay Deol to headline web series on Uphaar Cinema fire tragedy: reports

Actor Abhay Deol is reportedly all set to headline filmmaker Prashant Nair's upcoming web series based on the Uphaar Cinema fire tragedy in Delhi.

According to a report in News 18, citing a source close to the project revealed, that Abhay Deol liked the script and has agreed to the project. 

The series will see Abhay Deol playing the role of Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, father of two children Unnati & Ujjwal who lost their lives in the tragedy. 

The untitled show is based on Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy’s book 'Trial By Fire: The Tragic Tale of The Uphaar Fire Tragedy’ and will be produced by Endemol Shine India.
