Home Minister Amit Shah is on a day-long political tour of the poll-bound states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Shah launched a door-to-door outreach campaign "Vetri Kodi Eandhi" at Suchindram in Kanyakumari during his visit.

Amit Shah also held a roadshow in the constituency where the BJP is also contesting the Lok Sabha bypoll due to the death of the sitting Congress MP.

"I am confident that the AIADMK-BJP-PMK government will be formed in Tamil Nadu. Today, we have started our door to door campaign by visiting 11 homes here", Amit Shah said in Kanyakumari.

During his visit to Tamil Nadu, Amit Shah also visited Suchindram Temple in Kanyakumari to offer prayers. The BJP is contesting the Tamil Nadu polls in alliance with the ruling AIADMK.

Amit Shah will later address the valedictory function of the BJP's "Kerala Vijay Yatra" in Thiruvananthapuram, besides attending several programmes.
