Bhopal MP Prgaya Thakur has left many surprised after a video of her playing basketball in the state capital was widely shared on social media. Opposition Congress said it was delighted to see the Malegoan blast accused, who is out on bail, playing the sport considering they were under the impression she couldn’t stand or walk due to her poor health.
The BJP leader, who has been accused of saffron terror dribbled the ball with right hand and netted it with perfection amid cheers and clapping as seen in the video.
She was admitted to Delhi AIIMS in February and airlifted to Mumbai in March after complaining of breathing issues.
Pragya Thakur, the 2008 Malegaon blast case terror accused, was granted a bail by a NIA court on health grounds in 2017. A special NIA court granted the BJP leader exemption from physical appearance in January.
Thakur's sister Upama Singh described the incident as a “small thing”, saying most people don't know that Bhopal MP has done a course in physical education.
