The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze in connection with the bomb scare at Mukesh Ambani’s Antilia residence on February 25.

Vaze, an assistant police inspector, was arrested around Saturday midnight. He had walked into the NIA office around 11 am on Saturday and was grilled by the NIA for 12 hours before being arrested.

He posted a message on social media alleging that his colleagues in the force were falsely implicating him.

Vaze was the lead investigator in the explosives case before it was transferred to the Anti-Terrorism Squad of the Mumbai Police, and later the NIA.
