Amid a deadlock in Parliament over the Pegasus snooping row, the Opposition and government have come to an agreement over a constitution amendment bill that gives states the right to make their own list of Other Backward Classes.

The Opposition has assured the government of support in passing the bill in Parliament, which has seen little work this session amid a logjam over the snooping row.

Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday said all Opposition parties will support The Constitution (Amendment) Bill being introduced in Parliament.

A constitution amendment bill requires two-thirds majority to for passage in Parliament and with Opposition on board, the govt will have no trouble in seeing it through.
