A lot is riding for Disney with upcoming Marvel film 'Eternals', set to hit the big screens next month. But fans are most curious about Thena, the character played by Angelina Jolie.

Producer Nate Moore has spilled the beans on a rather tragic detail about Thena, from 'Eternals'. Moore says Angelina's character suffers from memory loss, that is similar to dementia, due to her long life, as an Eternal.

Moore elaborated on dementia-like condition, also known as the 'Eternal madness', first introduced in the comic books. It is a psychological affliction suffered by Eternals, as a result of the vast amount of memories they acquire due to their immortality. This leads to the suffering Eternal forgetting when exactly they are in time, making them potentially dangerous to others around them.

In Marvel lore, Thena is one of the team's best warriors and can manifest weapons out of thin air. But the specifics of her character in 'Eternals' has been kept under wraps.

The third Marvel Cinematic Universe film in Phase 4 introduces a brand-new batch of characters, as events take off from 'Avengers: Endgame'. Angelina Jolie, makes her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Thena, in the Chloé Zhao’s directorial.

'Eternals' is all set to hit the big screen on NOV 5, 2021.
