Oscar and Grammy-winning music composer AR Rahman in a TV interview said one should look at South Korea and its pop-band BTS for the way they market their music. Praising the band, Rahman said that BTS are an example of how an artist from a different market can gain success on a global stage.
He is optimistic this could happen to Indian artists too as barriers these days are not as strong as before.
However, Rahman feels India lost the opportunity of cashing in on the success of 'Slumdog Millionaire' music in 2009.
