The marquee clash was missing Neymar who picked up an injury recently as Brazil failed to convert any of the opportunities. For Argentina, Lionel Messi too missed a couple of chances to score as both teams ended up sharing points.

Brazil who were guaranteed a World Cup spot last week lead the South American qualifiers with 32 points, 3 ahead of Argentina who has become the 2nd team to book their berth.
