Former Additional Solicitor General Mukul Rohatgi who is arguing for Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan's bail in the Bombay High Court countered the NCB's claims in court, saying Aryan was invited as a guest on a cruise from Mumbai to Goa.
Rohatgi said, no drugs were recovered from Aryan, and there wasn't anything in his possession, so there was no occasion to arrest him.
Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi said, it appears that the NCB had prior information that people will be carrying drugs, hence so NCB sent officers so they could apprehend customers.
Rohatgi said, there was no medical examination conducted to show that Aryan Khan or his co-accused Arbaaz Merchantt had consumed drugs.
He further read out Aryan's arrest memo, where he said, he had role in either consumption, sale or purchase or connection with any other person except Arbaz Merchant.
Citing NCB's claims on the WhatsApp chats, Rohatgi said, Aryan plays online poker, and that is what was discused in chats.
Rohatgi said, there is no evidence to show Aryan was involved in financial illegal trafficking of drugs.
Rohatgi read Aryan's panchnama, where the 23-year-old star kid requested to be kept away from the political controversy, adding that he has nothing against any NCB officer.
