After losing the captaincy job in the Australian cricket team, Tim Paine might lose his spot in the Australia Test squad owing to poor form in domestic cricket.

Paine is the only specialist wicketkeeper in Australia's 15-man squad to face England but selector George Bailey confirmed that there is no guarantee that the former captain is confirmed to play the first Ashes Test in Brisbane from December 8.
Paine returned to competitive cricket after a neck surgery on Monday, representing Tasmania's second XI in Hobart. He took six catches and moved well behind the stumps but scored only one run with the bat.
Alex Carey and Josh Inglis are likely replacements for Tim Paine and have been kept on standby.
