Australia's spearhead Mitchell Starc became only the second bowler in Ashes history to take a wicket off the first delivery. Starc got into history books after equalling a long-standing 85-year-old record.
Australia's Ernest McCormick was the first bowler in an Ashes series to take a wicket off the first ball when he got the wicket of Stan Worthington in 1936.
Starc has developed a habit of taking wickets in the first over. Since 2014, the left-arm pacer has struck 13 times in the first over of a Test innings. England pacer James Anderson is second in the list with 12 scalps during the same period.
Starc's first over heroics extend to ODIs as well where he took the wicket in the first over of an innings 19 times. Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga is the second on the list with 12 victims.
