Asian Champions Trophy: Indian women's hockey player tests positive for Covid-19

The Covid-19 scare has hit the women's Hockey team as a member participating in the Asian Champions Trophy tested positive, after which  India's match against the defending champions Korea which was scheduled to be played on Wednesday got cancelled.

Hockey India took to Twitter to announce the development and also informed that the positive Covid result has come after Tuesday's routine testing.

India's 2nd match against Malaysia was also cancelled after a player from the later team returned with a positive test. The whole Indian team who are the last edition's runner-up will likely be put under quarantine just like the Malaysian team. 

However, the Asian Hockey Federation is yet to issue a statement on India's participation in the remaining tournament.
