Prime Minister Narendra Modi , President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, on Monday paid their respects to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his third death anniversary.
They were joined by several Union Ministers including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and senior leaders at ‘Sadaiv Atal’, the memorial to Vajpayee in Delhi, in paying tribute to the late Prime Minister.
BJP president JP Nadda and several other BJP leaders also paid tribute to the saffron stalwart on Monday.
Vajpayee held the post of the Prime Minister of India for three terms in 1996, 1998-99 and from 1999-2004. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 2014.

One of the prominent leaders of the country and founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Vajpayee died on August 16, 2018, at the age of 93 at Delhi AIIMS after a prolonged illness.
His birthday, which falls on December 25, is celebrated as 'Good Governance Day.'
