Avalanche hits vehicle in Ladakh: 5 dead, 5 missing

At least 5 people have died and 5 are feared missing after an avalanche buried a vehicle carrying 10 passengers at Khardung La pass in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Rescue operations are being carried by the district administration, police and the State Disaster Relief Force personnel at 17,500 feet, roughly 40 km from Leh town. Five bodies have been recovered so far.
