The entire Bangladesh squad has been put in isolation after their spin bowling coach Rangana Herath tested positive for Covid-19 while on tour in New Zealand.
Though the former Sri Lankan tested positive on Wednesday, his result came out to be negative a day later. He is experiencing mild symptoms. 8 Bangladeshi cricketers were put in quarantine after a passenger on their flight from Malaysia to New Zealand contacted the virus.
The rest of the players started training on Thursday but have now been asked to mandatorily complete a three-day room quarantine once again by the New Zealand health authorities because of their proximity to Herath on the flight. The visitors are due to take on the Kiwis in a 2-match Test series starting January 1.
