High decibel drama unfolded on the first day of the budget session of the West Bengal assembly as Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar could not complete his speech due to disruptions.

The governor walked out of the assembly after his speech was curtailed.

Dhankhar reportedly left the assembly, got in his car and headed to Raj Bhavan.

Legislative members from the BJP too staged a walkout. BJP legislators created a ruckus and also raised slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Dhankar's speech mentioned that all incidents of violence happened when law and order were under ECI. BJP protested this and stated that it was written by the state government and not the Governor.

The stage for a stormy session was set after Dhankhar raised a few issues over the inaugural draft speech sent to him by the state government.
