Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday released BJP’s manifesto for the Assembly polls in West Bengal. The manifesto, called ‘Sankalp Patra’, promised to implement CAA and stated that refugees who have been staying in Bengal for 70 years will be given citizenship.
Shah said each refugee family will get Rs 10,000 per year for 5 years. The manifesto also promised to provide free education for women from kindergarten to the postgraduate level and 33% reservation for women in state government jobs.
The saffron party promised to provide 33% reservation for women in state govt jobs and has promised to start Common Eligibility Test for all state government jobs.
Shah said that a SIT will be formed to investigate cases of political killings, and up to Rs 25 lakhs rehabilitation package to the kin of the victims of political violence will be announced.
The BJP also promised one job per family, implementation of 7th pay commission for state govt employees, PM-Kisan arrear of Rs 18,000 for 75 lakh farmers.
