At least three crude bombs were reportedly hurled at the home of BJP leader and West Bengal MP Arjun Singh early on Wednesday morning.

The bombs were thrown at the home of the North 24 Parganas MP at Jagatdal, around 100 km from Kolkata, allegedly by three men on a bike. The incident took place around 6.30 am.

Reports said the MP was in Delhi at the time of the incident although his family members were inside the house. So far, there has been no report of any injury.

BJP state chief Dilip Ghosh has said the assailants are most probably from Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress. The TMC, on the other hand, said the bomb attack was a result of the Bengal BJP's internal feud.

Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said the violence outside the BJP MP’s residence revealed there was no sign of wanton violence abating in Bengal.
