Bharat Bandh: farmer ends life by hanging self in Ludhiana

A 65-year-old farmer, who has been protesting at Ghulal Toll barrier for the last 10 months, ended his life on Sunday by hanging self from a pipe using a piece of cloth that is used to wrap around head.

The incident happened hours before Bharat Bandh by farmer unions.

The deceased farmer's wife is also participating in protest against Centre's three farm laws at Delhi's Tikri border.

Farmers learnt about the incident when they saw the deceased's hanging body on Monday morning.
