A special CBI court in Lucknow on Wednesday acquitted all 32 in the 28-year-old Babri demolition case, including BJP's founder-members LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. Shortly after the verdict was announced, several BJP leaders called it a victory of truth. Lal Krishna Advani welcomed the decision 'whole heartedly'. Murli Manohar Joshi called it a 'historic decision by the court' and added everyone should now be 'excited about Ram Mandir's construction'. Welcoming the verdict, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote that the verdict is proof justice triumphed even though late. BJP leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted restating the verdict, saying there was no conspiracy. BJP's Ram Madhav said also welcomed the verdict, saying the acquittal "was long overdue".
