Former J&K CM and National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah has claimed that the BJP wants to create a Hindu majority in Jammu and Kashmir. In a joint interview with his son and former CM Omar Abdullah to the Hindustan Times, Abdullah senior said that the National Conference opted out of the Delimitation Commission in May as the BJP is trying to divide the union territory on religious lines. "We told the Centre on their face that we do not believe in your delimitation," the veteran politicians said, adding that the BJP "wants a Hindu majority to emerge in J&K and the Muslim majority to go down”.
