BMW Announces Its Electric Model Line-Up For India

BMW has announced its electric vehicle line-up for India that will see the Bavarian auto giant bring 3 electric cars to the market. This will include the BMW iX, MINI Cooper SE and the BMW i4 electric sedan. The iX all-electric SUV is scheduled for launch on December 13 and will arrive in the xDrive40 variant with the electric motors producing 322 bhp and 630 Nm of peak torque. The electric SUV promises a range of 425 km on a single charge. In about 90 days from now, the company will introduce the MINI Cooper SE electric hatchback in India. The first batch of the MINI electric has already been sold out and prices are expected to be around the Rs.50 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Lastly, BMW India will launch the i4 electric sedan in a period of 180 days. The 3 series equivalent will be the first electric luxury sedan in the country. All three models will come as completely built units and will be available pan India at all BMW dealerships.
