Bollywood Films to watch this April

Here are some of the big films lined up for release this month.  
 
'The Big Bull'
Directed by Kookie Gulati, the film is inspired by true events and based on the stock market scam by Harshad Mehta, who was often called the 'Big Bull of the Dalal Street. The film features Abhishek in the role of Hemant Shah, an ambitious businessman who aims to become India's first billionaire. Big Bull also stars Ileana D'cruz and Nikita Dutta and will release on streaming platform Disney Plus-Hotstar on April 8. 

'Hello Charlie'
Hello Charlie marks the debut of Aadar Jain and revolves around the story of Charlie, a small-town boy who develops an unlikely friendship with Toto, a gorilla that he was transporting from Mumbai to Diu. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and also stars Jackie Shroff, Rajpal Yadav, Darshan Jariwalla among others. The film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 9.

'99 Songs'
Music maestro AR Rahman's first production '99 Songs' is a story about art and self-discovery of a struggling singer who wants to be a successful music composer. Directed by debutant Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, '99 Songs' will hit screens on 16 April in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

'Thalaivi'

'Thalaivi' stars Kangana in the lead and traces the journey of legendary actor-politician Jayalalithaa from films to politics. Directed by AL Vijay, the film will also feature Arvind Swami, Prakash Raj and Bhagyashree among others. 'Thalaivi' will hit the theatres on April 23.

'Sooryavanshi'

'Sooryavanshi' stars Akshay Kumar in the role of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad who join forces with Inspector Sangram Bhalerao and DCP Bajirao Singham to stop a terrorist attack in Mumbai. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film also stars Katrina Kaif in the key role. The film will hit theatres on 30th April. However, reports are the film might get delayed yet again due to the rise in Covid-19 cases.
