In Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa, you cannot buy liquor if you haven't got Covid shots.

The district excise department has linked booze sale to Covid vaccine and only those with both the shots will be able to buy liquor.

Interestingly, no vaccination proof is required and just a verbal assurance of being vaccinated will be enough. "Those who drink don't lie", Khandwa district excise officer RP Kirar has said.

The "no proof required" clarification came after the district authorities ordered liquor shops to sell alcohol only to those who are fully vaccinated.

Governments around the world are trying to combat vaccine hesitancy by announcing various incentives or making it mandatory to avail particular services.
