The Mizoram Police registered an FIR against Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and six top state officials on charges of attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy over the recent clashes at the interstate border that killed seven people.

Nearly 200 unnamed police personnel too have been mentioned in the case. The case was filed at the Vairengte Police Station in the Kolasib district of Mizoram, which borders Assam's Cachar.
