99% of new ministers are crorepatis, shows ADR report

70 out of 71 ministers in India's new council of ministers are crorepatis, with average assets amounting over 108 crore rupees, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms or ADR.

Of them six have declared assets of more than 100 crores. Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, MoS for rural development as well as ministry of communication tops the list with declared assets of a staggering 5705 crores.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of Communications has declared assets worth 424 crore rupees.

Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, has declared assets totaling 110 crore rupees, HD Kumaraswamy, who has been given the heavy industries ministry has a total asset valued at 217 crore. While Ashwini Vaishnaw, Railways and information and broadcasting minster has declared asset of 144 crore.
