After Air India passengers endured significant delays on flights AI 183 from Delhi to San Francisco on May 30 and AI 179 from Mumbai to San Francisco on May 24, the airline has implemented new standard operating procedures or SOPs for cabin crew regarding aircraft temperatures.
The SOPs require cabin crew to confirm that the aircraft is cooled to 22 degrees Celsius before allowing passengers to board.

Prior to this, Air India had apologised and offered a travel voucher of 350 dollars each to the passengers of the San Francisco flight that took off from the national capital after a delay of more than 30 hours.
