India's newest airline Akasa Air suffered a data breach less than a month after beginning operations. The company said that certain customer information was accessed by unauthorised personnel in the data breach.

Apologising for the incident, Akasa Air said that it was "self-reported" to nodal agency CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team). The airline said that there was no "intentional hacking attempt".

The airline, which started operations on 7 August 2022, said security of systems has been enhanced.
