Amazon India announced on Tuesday the expansion of its comprehensive grocery service, Amazon Fresh, to more than 130 cities across the country. New locations include Ambala, Aurangabad, Hoshiarpur, Dharwad, Una, and Suri, among others. This expansion aims to cater to a wider customer base by providing a diverse selection of groceries and everyday essentials.
Amazon Fresh offers an extensive range of wet and dry groceries, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and chilled products. In addition, the service encompasses beauty items, baby products, personal care items, and pet supplies. This broad selection ensures that customers can find all their essential items in one convenient place.
The shopping experience on Amazon Fresh is designed to be seamless and user-friendly. The service is available through a dedicated app-in-app feature on Amazon.in. This feature includes personalized widgets, a "buy-again" option, and reminders to help customers remember frequently purchased items during checkout. These tools aim to make the shopping process more efficient and tailored to individual customer needs.
Srikant Sree Ram, Director of Amazon Fresh India, highlighted the transformative impact of Amazon Fresh on grocery shopping in India. "Amazon Fresh is reshaping grocery shopping in India," he said, emphasizing the service's role in providing a convenient and comprehensive shopping solution for customers across the country.
