Netflix is looking for an AI Product Manager and is ready to offer up to Rs 7.4 crore ($900,000) annually. This comes amid the Hollywood unions' protest against the increasing reliance on artificial intelligence and algorithms in the entertainment industry. Actors and writers are demanding better wages and regulations on studios' use of emerging technology.
Netflix has said that the job can be performed remotely from anywhere in the West Coast of the United States. The role comes within the Machine Learning department and the streaming platform is ready to offer salary between $300,000 to $900,000. The job also expects the candidate to enhance the Machine Learning platform and utilize AI to create content.
"The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $300,000 - $900,000," the company stated on its website.
Netflix has listed one more high paying job for a technical director specializing in generative AI at its gaming studio, with an annual salary ranging between $450,000 and $650,000.
