Bitcoin has surged above the $30,000-mark on Monday after being stuck below the level for four days. It jumped as much as 4.4 percent to $30,441.43.
Other cryptocurrencies were also following suit. While Bitcoin’s dominance has been increasing recently, some altcoins were outperforming, with Avalanche up 6.6 percent and Cardano gaining 8.6 percent.
With central banks across the globe rising interest rates, cryptocurrencies remained under pressure in recent months. The collapse of the Terra ecosystem has also hurt sentiment in digital assets.
