China Govt think tank says sanctions on Russia to backfire on US and western forces

China's take on the Ukraine Russia war:  Chinese think tank, linked to the Ministry of State Security, China’s civilian intelligence agency has stated that the sanctions being imposed on Russia will backfire and hurt the western forces more.

An article published by China Institutes of Contemporary International Relation states that cutting off Russian banks from the Swift money messaging system will wind up hurting Europe roughly as much as well. The US could also incur major costs in the future providing economic and humanitarian aid to allies, and that Europe could be destabilised by large numbers of fleeing Ukrainians.

China has so far neither criticised nor endorsed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine but experts are betting on the Mainland buying up discounted oil assets and in a sign of support extend the use of China's money transfer system
