Waste Ventures India| Hyderabad-based Waste Ventures India is providing waste solutions for housing societies and corporate offices by composting organic waste and recycling dry waste. Founded by Roshan Miranda and Rob Whiting in 2012, start-up claims to reduce waste of a particular gated society or office by up to 90 per cent and leaves a green footprint in return.

In the process of ground waste collection, it is spreading awareness about waste management among the local community, which is enabling the people to understand recycling better, composting, and other green initiatives. It is one of the first start-ups which provided a digital doorstep recyclable pickup service in Hyderabad.
Phool. co| Founded by engineering graduate Ankit Agarwal & & Prateek Kumar in July 2017, Phool.co is an innovative startup focused on the circular economy, and helps convert floral waste into charcoal-free luxury incense and other wellness products.
The startup accumulates the floral waste from the temples and mosques in Uttar Pradesh, averting 7600 kgs of waste flowers and 97 kgs toxic chemicals from reaching into the river every day.
The company has expanded its operations and has achieved 130% YoY growth for the past two years. Last year, IIT Kanpur backed D2C had announced that the actor and entrepreneur, Alia Bhatt had joined the Phool family as an investor.
Nexus Power| The start-up creates biodegradable electric vehicle batteries from crop residue by leveraging nanotechnology. Nexus power leverages nanotechnology to make biodegradable electric vehicle batteries from crop residue. The company uses unburnt crops—one of the major sources of air pollution—and then by applying a unique extraction and filtration process, manufacture rechargeable energy storing cells.
Beco| Mumbai-based startup Beco, is a consumer goods company which was founded in 2018. The startup manufactures biodegradable and sustainable alternatives to single use-products such as dinner napkins, toilet roll, facial tissues, tissue roll and more.
Founded by Aditya Ruia, Anuj Ruia and Akshay Varma, the startup aims to quadruple its sales and encourage consumers to switch to sustainable living through their eco-friendly product range with the funding. The startup utilizes biodegradable and compostable raw materials like corn starch and bamboo to prepare various use-products, and claims to be a 100% eco-friendly and zero plastic company.
ZunRoof| is one of India’s leading residential solar energy rooftop installers. It is a Gurugram established start-up founded in 2016, using technologies like IoT to tap into India’s lucrative rooftop solar installations market.
The startup claims over 10,000 solar rooftop installations and 30,000 system designs across India. The five-year-old start-up is currently in over 75 cities across 12 states and claims to have preserved electricity bills worth INR 50 crore.
Health Horizons| Noida-based startup established in 2017 ranks at the top among the best hemp startups in India. It has been actively focusing on breaking the taboo created around hemp/cannabis and educating people about the array of nutritional and medicinal benefits that people can have with its consumption.
It sells a variety of organic hemp products such as hemp oil, body creams, and shampoos. The company is focused on making ecological and natural hemp products regular popular in the mainstream consumer market. Other than developing products, this aspiring startup is also published new recipes involving hemp oil and hemp seeds on their website.
