LPG Price Hike: Just days before the festival of Diwali, the government-owned oil companies have decided to increase the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders. This decision has come as a shock to the consumers, who are already dealing with the burden of rising inflation.
Effective from 1st November, the price of commercial gas cylinders has been hiked by ₹101.50. On the flip side, there has been a reduction in the prices of aviation fuel, which now stands at ₹1074 per kiloliter.
Amidst these developments, there is a sigh of relief for households relying on domestic LPG cylinders for cooking. The prices of domestic LPG cylinders, commonly used in kitchens across the country, have remained unchanged, providing a temporary reprieve for families trying to cope with escalating living costs.
The sudden hike in commercial gas cylinder prices has raised concerns among citizens, especially those preparing for Diwali, the festival that is just around the corner. Many are worried about the additional financial strain this price increase will impose on their festive celebrations.
