Flying into a flashback: First Air India Mumbai-London flight flew on this date

We fly into nostalgia as on June 8, 1948 Air India's first international flight took off covering Mumbai to London on it's maiden trip. The plane took off on June 8, 1948 and landed two days later on June 10, 1948.

On board this iconic flight which was named Malabar Princess was the pioneer of indian aviation JRD Tata along with Captain KR Guzdar who piloted the aircraft and 35 other passengers including Jamnagar's Nawab Amir Ali Khan.
