Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, a leading FMCG manufacturing company and the bottling arm of Coca-Cola, is set to expand its workforce by hiring 800 individuals in the year 2024.
This announcement comes on the heels of the company's successful recruitment drive last year, which saw the addition of 700-800 employees. HCCB has also made significant progress in meeting its hiring targets for the current year.
With a current workforce of 6,000 full-time employees, HCCB has identified a 13% attrition rate within the organization. To address this, the company aims to bridge the gap by bringing in fresh talent from both internal and external sources.
Approximately half of the upcoming hires will be focused on shopfloor roles, primarily within supply chain and manufacturing facilities. Another substantial portion, around 40-45%, will be dedicated to commercial roles aimed at bolstering HCCB's market presence and promoting its products. The remaining positions will be allocated to supporting functions, including Finance, HR, and IT, among others.
Gaurav Sharma, Chief People Officer at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages told Moneycontrol, that the importance of a balanced approach to talent acquisition, with a 50-50 split between internal promotions and external hires. This strategy ensures a continuous influx of fresh perspectives and expertise into the organization, maintaining its vitality.
HCCB employs various hiring programs at different levels, catering to the diverse needs of its workforce. These programs encompass early career talent recruitment, targeting individuals for management roles, sales trainees, graduate engineering positions, and supply-chain operations trainees. Mid-level hiring is facilitated through search partners and the company's talent acquisition teams, with a strong focus on identifying individuals with the right mindset, diverse viewpoints, and leadership qualities.
