HBO’s had a record start to the week with Game of Thrones prequel “House of the Dragon” drawing in nearly 10 million viewers at its debut making it the best-ever series debut in the network’s history.
With the enthusiasm came outages with many exasperated fans took to Twitter to report outages that blocked their debut viewing. More than 3,000 outages were reported across the global monitoring service Downdetector just as “House of the Dragon” was released.
House of the Dragon” arrives more than three years after the last episode of “Game of Thrones,” which alone drew 19.3 million viewers, a record for HBO. Based on George R.R. Martin's book Fire and Blood, the prequel is set roughly 170 years before and focuses on the Targaryen family’s bloody turmoils.

House of the Dragon, which had a global release on August 22 and will have weekly episodes drop can be viewed in India on Disney-Hotstar.
