New batch of immigrants to Canada are earning more than ever before as per data released by Statistics Canada. The study has shown that the median pay for immigrants who became permanent residents earned a total of CA$31,900 which is the highest amount recorded among all groups of immigrants since 1981. The wage data was collected for 2019.

Immigrants with prior work experience were paid more within one year of arrival while those with no 'work-ex' had a median pay of CA$39,300 in 2019.
Canada granted permanent residency to 401,000 foreigners in 2021, though there is no official data on how many were Indians past trends would suggest nearly 40% of the pool would be from the subcontinent.
