He went on to say that India not having a permanent seat on the Security Council, despite being the most populous country on Earth, is absurd. He also took a dig on the countries with permanent seat, saying those with excess power don’t want to give it up.

Secretary General of the United Nations,  António Guterres also batted for a change in the United Nations as he questioned Africa lacking a single Permanent Member in the Security Council. He also emphasised that Institutions must reflect today’s world and not dwell in the past.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk also in his post advocated for Africa to have a permanent seat collectively.
