In a surprising move, movie theatres across Maharashtra will broadcast the election results live aiming to encourage the public to engage with the electoral process. As per PayTm, theatres such as SM5 Kalyan and the MovieMax chain in Mumbai’s Sion, Kanjurmarg, Eternity Mall Thane, Wonder Mall Thane, and Mira Road will participate in this unique initiative.
The ticket prices range from Rs 99 to Rs 300 and the screening will commence at 9 am, running for six hours. There has been mixed reactions among Netizens. While some have raised concerns over possible violence, others see this as an entertaining twist on the typical election coverage.
“They are taking a huge risk, as trailing parties may create trouble, vandalism”, a X user said.
As per Moneycontrol, in Pune, the screenings can be seen in at MovieMax Amanora, in Nashik at The Zone on College Road, Nagpur will host the event at MovieMax Eternity Nagar.
