The Sensex and Nifty made a strong comeback on Wednesday, rallying over 3 per cent each after it became clear that the NDA was likely to go ahead and form the next Government of India.

This after markets faced a heavy drubbing a day earlier after an unexpectedly narrow win for the BJP led NDA along with the fact the BJP was unable to cross the halfway mark of 272 on its own.

However, PM Modi is expected to be sworn in for a third term on the 8th of June after allies TDP and JDU reiterated their support to the BJP.
