A massive ₹400 crore scam involving a Chinese online gaming app, Fiewin, has been uncovered by Indian authorities with help from Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange.

The scam promised users easy money through mini-games, but once they tried to withdraw their winnings, they were blocked.

As per an NDTV report, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested four Indians in Kolkata for allegedly assisting the Chinese nationals involved in this scheme.

The investigation received support from Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. In addition, around ₹25 crore has been frozen in connection with the probe.

Investigators discovered the fraudsters used cryptocurrency to transfer stolen funds, making it difficult to trace.

This operation had Indian accomplices in Tamil Nadu, Orissa, and Bihar, leading to widespread victimization.
