Microsoft owned LinkedIn lays off employees: report

Microsoft owned and employment social networking platform, LinkedIn has reportedly become the latest firm to letting go of employees.  

LinkedIn layoffs 

Though the number of employees impacted by the layoffs is still not known, reports suggest that LinkedIn has laid off staff in its recruiting department on Monday. 

This comes soon after Microsoft's decision to lay off its workforce. In January 2023, Microsoft had announced its decision to fire 10,000 employees, which is around 5 per cent of its total workforce.

Over the last few months, mass layoffs have impacted several companies from the tech industry. Right from Google that fired over 12,000 employees to Amazon layoffs that impacted over 18,000 people, the tech sector is going through a rough patch.
