No wrong doing! Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw lashes out, waiver was procedural

Hitting out strongly against media reports alleging bribery charges favouring Biocon's unit, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw took to Twitter to not only deny the allegations but also to shut down trolls. 

Shaw took an aggressive stance to safeguard the integrity of Biocon as she reminded netizens to read and understand before spreading fake news. The founder of Biocon denied all allegations of wrong doing reported in a PTI news copy that had alleged a 4 lakh bribe was given to a drug controller to waive off a critical insulin trial.

Citing procedure Kiran Mazumdar Shaw explained that "The product is EU approved n has conducted full trials globally. All that has been sought is an India trial waiver OK? Pls understand facts before jumping to conclusions. CDSCO provides for trial waiver for EU n US approved products."

Biocon Biologics - the unit under question has also issued a statement denying all allegations and is cooperating with CBI as all material and filings are available online with minutes of meetings as well.
